We live 30 minutes away, so don’t often make the trek, but will do so more often after last nights terrific experience reminded us of what a truly exceptional meal can be. Our server, Trish was attentive and pleasant, and the food was excellent. He chopped salad was an excellent twist on our favorite, the scallops with crabmeat topping and steak special were perfectly done. We skipped dessert but the selections looked wonderful. Just wish it was closer to home.

They were swamped that night ,and we waited quite awhile for waitstaff to take our order. I think they need two people at the bar on weekend nights— very difficult to wait on those eating at the bar and do drinks for all the restaurant.
Hello potential Ella customers, the food is very good and the evening was set in motion with a delicious dinner. The crab cakes were the best I have had and I am always searching for the best crab cakes and now I know where to get them. I had a very good waiter who new the menu and how things were prepared, very attentive and aiming to please. The special I ordered was the salmon which was tasty indeed. Ella’s rivals some of the restaurants I have dined at on Federal Hill. Highly recommended.
The food and service were excellent. Our server Justin was very attentive. He had a great demeanor which made the dinner even more enjoyable.
We had another great meal at Ellas’s. We chose some items not previously ordered as well as old favorites such as the chicken liver pate.
